On April 8, 2017, the Qianling Datang Peony Garden held a grand opening ceremony. Qianling Datang Peony Garden is based on the historical origin of Wu Zetian and peony as the background, and takes the cultural connotation of "Peony Return" as the main line. It is built within the planning scope of Qianling Grand Scenic Area, integrating peony viewing, oil use, product deep processing and leisure tourism. An integrated peony industry demonstration park with a total project investment of 150 million yuan and a cumulative planting area of 7,300 mu, including 1,000 mu in the core area. The park gathers purple spot, red phoenix, European peony, Japanese peony and American peony from all over the world. There are more than 30 kinds of famous peonies, and the number of varieties and the scale of planting are the first in Shaanxi Province.
