The city wall is made of mud and stone, and is divided into inner city, outer city, and outer city. There is a city gate in the north and south respectively, and the city wall of the outer city has been weathered into an earthen beam, extending to Tangwang Village (now the 51st Regiment of the Third Agricultural Division) about two kilometers away from the northeast of the city.
Tangwang City is an important ancient city site on the middle road of the ancient Silk Road in Xinjiang. It has extremely high archaeological value and is listed as a key cultural relic protection unit in the autonomous region.
