Tanpu Gorge, formerly known as Dashiyu Scenic Area, is located in the north of Tang County, Baoding City, adjacent to Laiyuan, with a total area of 18 square kilometers. The beautiful mountains and waters of Tanpu Gorge (Dashiyu) have greatly increased the popularity of the scenic spot, attracting many tourists from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. The scenic spot is composed of three valleys, Tanpuyu, Zhaishiyu and Shuangpuyu, and Xiongwozi Nature Reserve.
