The grottoes are excavated on the steep wall on the southeast side of Taoshi Mountain, and are divided into three caves: the middle, the south and the north. In front of the cave is the "Shanfu Temple", a Lama Temple continued in the Qing Dynasty. The four big characters "Temple of Zhenji" are engraved on the eyebrows and foreheads of the middle grottoes, which are the inscriptions of the grottoes excavated in the Liao Dynasty. The North Cave is divided into inner and outer chambers. The statues in the outer chamber are the same as those in the South Cave. The statues in the inner chamber are all relief sculptures.
