If you go all the way along the Laoguikai Road north of the main entrance of the Nanjiang Grand Canyon Scenic Area, you will arrive at the Qinglong River in the upper reaches of the Nanjiang River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. The water here is gentle and clear, and there are many ethnic villages on both sides, commonly known as Qinglong River Shili Gallery.
There are many Buyi villages on both sides of Shili Gallery, mainly Matou Village, Ping Village and Shuitou Village. There are many old houses of the Buyi people in Matou Village, and grand commemorative activities will be held on June 6th every year. Continue for 2 kilometers from Matouzhai, and there is a well-preserved Yangxi Theater in Pingzhai on the left side of the road. In summer, a lot of lotus will bloom in the river. One kilometer ahead of Pingzhai is Shuitouzhai, where you can see the old Zhaimen, folk houses and the Buyi Farm Tools Museum converted from an old private school. Tourists can taste fresh rice wine and soybean milk. In March and April, the hillside will be full of splendid rapeseed flowers.
