Tengchong Confucian Temple, also known as Xuegong and Hongxue, is located at the southern end of the urban area during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is a large-scale group of buildings. Tengchong Confucian Temple is the only relatively well-preserved school palace in Baoshan area, and it is the only ancient building complex left over from the anti-Japanese war in Tengchong City in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has extremely important historical value for the study of the spread of Central Plains culture in the southwestern border of the motherland. In 1998, the People's Government of Yunnan Province announced it as the fifth batch of provincial key cultural relics protection units.

The construction of the Tengchong Academy began in the 16th year of Ming Chenghua (1480 A.D.). It was originally built in the northwest corner of the city. In the 44th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1705 A.D.), the school was moved to the Tengchong military and civilian commander of the Ming Dynasty. In the front, Dache Lake is Panchi, on the left is Xiufeng Mountain, Kui Pavilion, and on the right is Wenchang Temple. On the central axis, Panchi Lake, Lingxing Gate, Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall and Chongsheng Temple are arranged. On both sides of the Dacheng Hall, there are Confucian disciples and Confucian tablets of past dynasties. On the left and right of Dacheng Gate are the temples of famous eunuchs and sages. "Qifengfang" was built on the left side of the Panchi embankment, which was later Minglun hall, and then the training house. "Qifengfang" was built on the right side of Panchi embankment, followed by Xuezhengfang.
