The first pass in the west - Irkeshtan Port, formerly known as "Smhana Port", is located in Simhana Village, Jigen Township, Wuqia County, Xinjiang, the first village in the west of China. It is a port in the far west of my country. The port is 140 kilometers away from Wuqia County. The Irkeshtan port was temporarily opened on July 21, 1997. The port passed the national acceptance on July 1, 2001, and was officially opened on May 20, 2002. According to statistics, the total investment of the port is about 40 million yuan. In 2011, the port moved to a new location 3 kilometers away from Wuqia County.
