The Tianhe Grand Canyon (Douhuigou) scenic spot is located in Jiaohe Township, 35 kilometers southwest of Luanchuan County, Luoyang. Located at the confluence of the three major basins of the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and the Huaihe River, with a total viewing area of 56 square kilometers, it is located in the transition zone between the subtropical zone and the northern temperate zone, with an altitude of 1300-1800 meters and an annual average temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius. The mountains in the ditch are magnificent, the vegetation is dense, the streams are quiet, and the pools and waterfalls are connected. Exotic flowers and plants can be seen everywhere, and thousands of ancient willows grow along the stream. Strange rocks, majestic mountains, beautiful waters and secluded forests constitute a beautiful landscape painting here.
At present, 86 scenic spots in 6 major scenic spots have been successfully developed, and two routes have been formed: swimming to find seclusion and mountain climbing. Among them, Optimus Prime (1,950 meters above sea level), Dapeng Spreading Wings (2,113 meters above sea level) and Wuzhi Peak have become the three iconic landscapes of the park because of their height, steepness and beauty, and they are also representative wonders of Funiu Mountain. Part of the hardware facilities in the park have reached the 4A standard, and the mobile communication network has covered the whole process.
On November 7, 2002, it was officially named "Provincial Forest Park" by the Provincial Forestry Department. At the same time, it is listed as one of the five key development scenic spots in Luanchuan County. At present, there are 85 family hotels in the scenic area, with more than 1,300 beds. In addition, resorts and villas can accommodate more than 1,500 people for board and lodging, entertainment, and meetings at the same time. It is an ideal place for leisure, summer vacation, and sightseeing.
