Completed in 1991, the Sky Tower is a "water tower" and a member of the World Association of High Towers. The Tianta is like a sword leaning on the sky, and enjoys the reputation of "Tianta Xuanyun". The tower is 415.2 meters high, and it is currently the sixth tallest tower in the world and the fourth tallest tower in Asia. The sky tower mainly includes two functions of radio and television signal transmission and tourism. Tianta is located at the junction of South Niegong Bridge, Zijinshan Road and Weijin South Road, Hexi District, Tianjin, opposite to the water park, and is a 4A-level scenic spot.
The Tianta Observation Hall is located at an altitude of 253 meters. Visitors can experience a 360-degree view of the entire city of Tianjin in the Observation Hall. There is also a starry sky hall and high-powered telescopes to provide tourists with a more intuitive physical and mental experience.
As a landmark scenic spot in Tianjin, in order to carry forward the history and culture of Tianjin and convey the spirit of urban construction, a 360-degree themed exhibition of "Dare to be the first in the world" was set up around the tower with the main line of "seeing Tianjin with a century of history".
Tianta West Bund Study · Zhizhiba is the tallest revolving study in the country, located at a height of 257 meters in Tianta. There is a specialty coffee bar and four experience items in the study. Rain in the Cloud art installation, 160 billion-pixel VR panoramic view of Tianjin, selfie check-in on the top of the tower, and "Along the Light" glass art exhibition. There are nearly 10,000 volumes of books in the study, covering a total of 22 categories of books, including philosophy, culture, literature, art, history, geography, astronomy, etc., for tourists to borrow for free. At the same time, on the occasion of the New Year's Eve in 2020, Tianta has joined forces with major companies to create the highest naked-eye 3D advertising light show on the Tianta Tower.
