Tianmo Park is located in Longbao Mountain in the southwest of East Garden in Huailai County. There is a natural desert covering an area of 1,300 mu. It is located at the foot of Yanshan Mountain on the south side of Guanting Reservoir. It is the hometown of the famous Octagonal Begonia. Between the mountains and rivers, there is a golden dune stretching for more than ten miles. It is very strange and spectacular, and it is called "Tianmo". Dongshalong is more than 300 meters long from north to south, and Xishalong is nearly a thousand meters long from north to south. The width is more than 100 meters, and the height is estimated to be more than 30 meters, which is very spectacular. The orchards, grasslands, and the golden salons that suddenly appear in the Gobi, together with the mountains, Gobi, lakes and other landforms, depict a colorful picture of "the desert is solitary, the long river is full of sunset". It is said that it comes from Inner Mongolia, brought here by the wind, and is the product of long-term interaction between nature and human activities. A typical feature of Tianmo is its "clear boundaries". Around Tianmo, there is a clearly identifiable contour line. Even if you leave this contour line, it will be an ordinary farmland. Moreover, in the eastern part of Tianmo, part of the sand has been transported away, and there is also a clear dividing line between the ground and the accumulated sand. The ground is composed of purple-black coarse gravel, which is completely different from the accumulated sand in Tianmo. This shows that the sand in Tianmo is accumulated from the ground, and it is not integrally formed with the ground below. There are no sand sources within hundreds of kilometers around the Tianmo, and there are many versions of the cause of its formation, such as the theory of electromagnetic origin, the theory of wind-blown sand formation, the theory of weathering, and the theory of on-site sand generation. It is a mystery.
