Tianshan Temple is located on the top of Tianshan Mountain. Its full name is "Tianshan Guandi Temple". It was built in the Li and Tang Dynasties, with an altitude of about 2700 meters. The Tianshan Temple is the throat of the North New Road on the Silk Road, and has a significant relationship with the history of the Han, Tang, and Qing dynasties operating the Western Regions. There are "a lot of joints" in the original temple. It was named after the Guandi Temple was built on the top of Tianshan Mountain in the 51st year of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty (1786 A.D.).

In the current Tianshan Temple, there are only three empty halls of brick and wood structure and a broken stele. So people today have the sigh of "the ruined temples and steles reflect the snow and cold". The Tianshan Road has thirty-six twists and turns, high mountains and dense forests beside the road, eagles singing and deer singing. Follow the bend of Panshan Mountain, climb to the top of Tianshan Temple, and suddenly the sky opens up. Looking down at the mountain, you can see the forest and sea, the snow is shining, the moon is shining in the sky for a while, the clouds are covering the mist for a while, and the snow is falling heavily for a while. Tourists often stop here to enjoy the wonderful scenery of nature.

The Tianshan Highway diverges from this point, turning sharply down, going south to Nanshan Pass, and going north to Koumenzi. There was an original hut next to the temple, which contained inscriptions of the Han, Tang and Qing dynasties, and the Tang Dynasty Jiang Xingben stele is one of them. Standing on the top of the mountain overlooking the Panshan Highway, you can have a panoramic view of Mingsha Mountain and Balikun Grassland.
