Tianzhu Mountain is located about 15 kilometers southwest of Ankang City, with steep mountains and blue peaks piercing the sky. The main peak is like a pillar, piercing into the sky, hence the name "Tianzhu Mountain". It is one of the four famous mountains in Ankang.
Tianzhu Mountain is adjacent to the Han River, with beautiful mountains and clear waters. Literati of past dynasties often went to Tianzhu Mountain to enjoy the scenery and write poems and inscriptions. The poet praises the cloud: "The majestic Wanren is inserted into the clouds, and the first peak of the mountains is shown; Born Junyan, he will teach Zhushi Daming Kong."
The Baiyun Temple on Tianzhu Mountain was first built in the Tang Dynasty. It is one of the four major jungles of the Buddhist holy land in southern Shaanxi and listed as one of the eight scenic spots in Ankang. There is a lotus pond behind the temple and a square pond in front. It is said that the water level of the Han River can be known by looking at the Tianchi Lake. The pines and cypresses are lush inside and outside the temple, and the plum blossoms are fragrant. The main hall is resplendent with carved beams and painted buildings, with thousands of Buddha statues and incense.
Tianzhu Mountain is majestic, surrounded by arched peaks, green pines and green bamboos, reflecting each other. Climb Tianzhu Mountain in the early morning to watch the sunrise and the sea of clouds; when the sun sets, light smoke and mist sway the mountain top; the palace of Baiyun Temple is misty and ethereal. Looking down from the mountain and looking down the mountain, you can have a panoramic view of the towns in the distance, but you can see the blue waves of the Han River like a crystal jade belt, and the smoke from the kitchen shrouds the criss-crossing rice fields. Every year, many tourists come here to escape the summer heat and enjoy the scenery.
