Tiebu area is located on the northeast edge of Ruoergai, with high mountains and deep valleys, a relatively warm climate, lush forest vegetation, developed mountains, and numerous rivers. The pleasant climate, rich vegetation and special geographical location provide an ideal "paradise" for wild animals to inhabit. This is the home of the rare wild animal Tiebu sika deer (a new subspecies of sika deer, also known as Sichuan deer). For more than 20 years, the reserve has conscientiously promoted and implemented national, provincial and state guidelines and policies on the protection of rare wild animals, and taken effective measures to completely prohibit hunting, logging, burning and other behaviors that destroy the natural environment of the sika deer habitat. The population of sika deer in the area continues to expand, and according to incomplete statistics, it has grown to thousands. Now the area of natural vegetation in the area accounts for about 80% of the total area, and the forest coverage rate is 53%. In addition to sika deer, there are 175 species of vertebrates such as Schizothorax, blue-eared pheasant, leopard cat, forest musk deer, and gazelle in the reserve.
If you are lucky enough to visit Tiebu, you will see wild sika deer in groups of three or four, "carrying their children and their daughters", looking for food at the edge of the fields, and playing at the foot of the mountain. Due to the mild climate in the Tiebu area, it is very suitable for the growth of animals and plants, so the natural scenery here is particularly beautiful and should not be missed.
