In 1934, the Red Army Martyrs Cemetery in the Sichuan-Shanxi Revolutionary Base was built. It was originally named Wangping Red Army Martyrs Cemetery. It is located in Tongjiang County, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province. There are 25,048 Red Army martyrs buried here, including 17,225 unknown martyrs, and 218 Red Army martyrs with names from other provinces who died in Tongjiang.
