Huangyuan Town God's Temple was first built in the 41st year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1776), and has a history of more than 200 years. It is one of the relatively well-preserved Town God's Temples in Northwest China. The overall building of the Town God's Temple faces south, with three entrances and two courtyards, brick and wood structure, simple and elegant temple buildings, majestic and resplendent.
Entering the Town God's Temple, there are Zhaobi, Shanmen, theater building, east and west wing rooms, east and west side halls, archway, main hall, east and west wing rooms, and bedroom palace in sequence. The mountain gate is majestic and gorgeous, built on six steps. The blue brick screen wall opposite the mountain gate is engraved with flower and cloud patterns, which belongs to the brick carving art of the Qing Dynasty. Entering the mountain gate is the theater building, and the east and west sides are the bell and drum towers.
From the downstairs of the theater, you will come to the courtyard in front. In the middle of the courtyard is the Jianxin Hall, with wing rooms and pavilions on both sides. In the middle of the north side of the courtyard is Jianxin Hall. On the gables on both sides of the temple platform, there are six brick carvings of plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum, deer and crane in the same spring, all of which are works of the Qing Dynasty. They are exquisite and exquisite and can be called art treasures. The back courtyard is the back bedroom palace, which is the resting place for Chenghuang and his wife. All the lifting frames and bucket arches in the temple belong to the Qing style, which incorporates the Tibetan style on the basis of the Han style, which is magnificent and classic, which is rare in Northwest China.
