The Tsochin Hall is the main hall of the Tashilhunpo Monastery and the earliest building in the temple. It was built in 1447 and is located in the center of the temple. When you step into the gate of the temple, the building in front of you is the Tsochin Hall. Outside the gate of the main hall is a courtyard surrounded by corridors, which is the lecture hall of the temple. The Panchen Lama will preach scriptures and sermons to the monks of the whole temple here, and it is also a place for lamas to hold religious defenses. The front part of the main hall is the Great Sutra Hall. In the center of the Sutra Hall is the throne of the Panchen Lama. In the Great Sutra Hall, there is a gilded Buddha statue of Sakyamuni. The skull of Si Rao Seng and the hair of Tsongkopa. On the left side of the Great Sutra Hall is the Jamba Buddha Hall funded by King Aliguge in 1461. The Jamba Buddha is 11 meters high, and on both sides are the statues of Guanyin and Manjushri made by the fourth Panchen Lama. There are three Buddhist halls behind the scripture hall, the Sakyamuni Hall is in the middle, the Maitreya Hall is on the west side, and the Tara Hall is on the east side.
