Tulugou means "beautiful orchard" in ancient Mongolian. It is a beautiful natural scenic spot around Lanzhou. It is about 200 kilometers away from Lanzhou city. It is a good place for local residents of Lanzhou to relax on weekend outings.
The Tulu Valley is very humid due to the influence of the mountain climate. The trees here are very dense, while the valleys are full of peaks and peaks. There are many steep stone walls of different shapes and grassland scenery. The scenery is very beautiful. The main purpose of visiting here is to walk in the canyons, grasslands and mountains, and watch many peaks, cliffs, grasslands, etc. In addition, there are wild flowers in spring and red leaves in autumn, and the photography is also very good.
The scenic spot is divided into four parts: Sancha Village, Datulugou, Xiaotulugou and Grassland Tourist Area. After entering the scenic spot, tourists can take a shuttle bus (the fare is 30 yuan), and first arrive at Sancha Village. There are two forked roads ahead. One leads to Datulugou, which is a canyon dominated by peculiar landforms, with many beautiful stone cliffs, rock walls, etc. If you continue on the road in Datulugou, you can see the Gouzhang Grassland. It is also the grassland tourist area of the scenic spot, where you can enjoy the open grassland scenery. The other fork in Sancha Village leads to Xiaotulugou Scenic Area, which is dominated by dense trees and flowers, and the environment is very quiet, suitable for sightseeing and strolling. It takes about half a day to visit the whole scenic spot.
