Tuoling Mengpo Desert Ecotourism Area is located in the 150th Regiment on the southern edge of the Gurbantunggut Desert in the Junggar Basin. This is an ancient, rough, and endless desert world. The sand dunes and waves here are like vast gold coastal. More than 20 years ago, Xu Wangyun, the editor-in-chief of Yale Publishing House in Taiwan and a young poet, came to the 150th Regiment to visit the desert scenery. He impromptuly named the 150th Regiment's desert eco-tourism area "Tuoling Mengpo" full of poetic names.
