Urumqi Confucian Temple is a group of brick and wood structure buildings in the Qing Dynasty. There are front and rear main halls and two sets of auxiliary halls on the east and west sides. There are also two symmetrical bell and drum towers. , Vigorous and solemn, antique, elegant and quiet.

From 765 to 1767, when the Qing government expanded the city of Urumqi, a Confucian Temple was built on the later Wenhua Road (formerly known as Confucian Temple Lane), and there are no traces of this Confucian Temple. After Xinjiang was established as a province in 1884, in order to commemorate the fallen soldiers who regained Xinjiang, Zhaozhong Shrine was built on the way forward. After the fall of the Qing Dynasty, it was renamed the Martyr's Shrine. Later, the wooden tablet of Confucius in the original Confucian Temple was moved here, and the Martyr's Temple became the later Confucian Temple. At this time, the Confucian Temple not only worshiped Confucius, but also worshiped the Taoist god "Emperor Wenchang" who was in charge of fame and fortune in the world.

The entire Confucian Temple covers an area of 2,800 square meters. It is in the traditional Chinese ancient architectural style. It has three rooms wide and two rooms deep.

The Confucian Temple has opened a restored display of the Dacheng Hall of Confucius, which combines the three characteristics of Confucian temples across the country. It integrates Confucius, four statues, and twelve sages into one room. The large statues and high-relief standing statues are all lifelike and awe-inspiring. "The Master of All Times" , "Shengmin Weiyou" and other plaques are hung on the niche of Confucius. Various sacrificial vessels are placed in front of the statue of Confucius for visitors to pay homage to.
