The Urumqi Confucian Temple is located on Qianjin Road in the urban area, on the north side of the Party School of the Autonomous Region. The Confucian Temple is the only well-preserved Qing Dynasty-style temple complex in Xinjiang. The Confucian Temple in Urumqi was originally a temple of God, and it was later supervised and built in 1922. It is dedicated to God and is dedicated to Confucius. In 1945, it was rebuilt as Confucius Dacheng Hall, and in 1979, it was announced as a municipal cultural relic protection unit. From 1988 to 1990, the state invested one million yuan in repairs, and it is now the site of the Urumqi Museum.

The display of the Urumqi Museum fully reflects the local characteristics of Urumqi and the characteristics of the Confucian Temple. Initially become a comprehensive local museum. The museum has a collection of nearly 70 cultural relics and nearly 100 specimens. It has published "Urumqi Cultural Relics Briefing", "Urumqi Cultural Relics Chronicle", "Urumqi Museum Introduction" and so on.
