Wanfo Temple was built on a lone peak in Ewu Township, Huguan County, Changzhi City. At first, the temple was built on the edge of the cliff, and the mountain was dug into a cave, but it was destroyed by war and fire. At present, there is only one grotto in the original site, and there are three statues in it. The current temple on the peak was rebuilt in another place later, a few hundred meters away from the cliff, and its construction year is unknown.

The location of the temple is inconvenient for transportation, and most of the donkey friends who like to hike pass by, or people from nearby counties and cities drive there.
