According to legend, Wang Mangling got its name because Wang Mang of the Western Han Dynasty chased Liu Xiu and set up camp here. Scenic spots include Wangmangling, the largest eco-tourism destination in North China, Qizi Mountain, the birthplace of the world's Go game, Guabi Highway, a wonder of the world, and Xiyagou, a paradise of idyllic beauty.
Wangmangling is located in the most dangerous part of the fault zone between the Loess Plateau and the Zhongzhou Plain. It is composed of more than 50 peaks scattered in different heights. The highest altitude is 1665 meters, and the lowest is only 800 meters. Standing on the top of the mountain, you can have a panoramic view of the majestic Taihang. The land of the Central Plains can be seen everywhere. The sea of clouds, sunrise, strange peaks, pines, Guabi Highway, Hongyan Grand Canyon, and three-dimensional waterfalls here form the most famous natural landscape in Babaili Taihang.
The vegetation in Wangmangling is dense, and the forest coverage rate is over 95%. The temperature in summer is kept between 18°C and 20°C, and it is known as a "cool holy place". The climate is very different from the bottom of the mountain, and the weather is ever-changing. It is a tourist attraction all year round.
