Wanhua Mountain, also known as Peony Mountain, is located 16 kilometers southwest of Yan'an City. It is famous for its wild peonies all over the mountains and valleys. This is one of the four major sources of peonies in China, and tens of thousands of wild peonies are concentrated here. Every spring and summer, colorful peonies are in full bloom, with fragrant fragrance and pleasant scenery.
The total area of Wanhua Mountain is about 1,000 mu, covered with verdant cypresses, luxuriant branches and leaves, evergreen all the year round. Every spring, flowers bloom, and there are exotic flowers and grasses everywhere in the cypress bushes. Among them, the wild peonies have been famous in the past dynasties, and there are more than 50,000 plants all over the mountains and fields, and there are dozens of varieties.
The main scenic spots of Wanhua Mountain include Peony Garden, Wanhua Lake, Cuifujun Temple, Mulan's Hometown, Hua Mulan Mausoleum, etc. In addition to mountaineering and flower viewing, tourists can also take a cruise on Peony Lake.
