Wanlouzi Folk House Museum

Wanlouzi is an exquisite ancient dwelling. Because the building is built along the curve of the roadway, Heshun people vividly call it "Wanlouzi". "Wanlouzi" is not only a residential house, but also the name of the Li family of the famous business "Yongmaohe". The Wanlouzi folk house is a courtyard compound building complex with three entrances, three bedrooms and one screen wall. The first courtyard is an exhibition of the family history of the owner, and the second courtyard is an exhibition of Heshun folk residence culture. It is now designated as a "folk house museum".

The "Yongmaohe" firm is a representative of getting rich through business, and is known as "Dongdongxidongwanlouzi" in the business community of Tengchong. During the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, the owner of the firm went to Myanmar to do business to make a living, and gradually developed into a multinational firm. The head office was established in Mandalay, Myanmar, and branch offices were set up in Shanghai, Lhasa, Kunming, Xiaguan, Baoshan, Tengchong and other places in China. The firm has gone through five generations. It has a glorious history of more than 100 years. Now the building is empty, but the grandeur of the big merchants in those days can still be felt in the finely crafted architectural details.
