The Great Wall is divided into inner city and outer city. The inner city crosses the road from Mingzhuang, climbs up a small hill 5 kilometers northwest of Guyuan City, passes through Guozhuang, Shilipu, crosses the Qingshui River, and then reaches Shawo. The outer city forms an irregular bow-back shape to the northwest, passes through Qiaowa and crosses the Qingshui River, then turns southeast to Shawo and the inner city becomes one.

The inner city and the outer city ruins form a very sharp contrast. The city wall of the inner city pier is tall, generous and complete, and the city line is as straight as a row, majestic and majestic. The inner city relics about 8 kilometers long along the whole line are relatively well preserved. Except for modern roads and a few gullies pierced in the later period, the whole line is basically uninterrupted, and there is a city pier every 200 to 230 meters. The outer city has been completely destroyed, most of which have been razed to the ground. Most of the remaining city piers are 2 to 3 meters high, and most of them cannot see the city walls.
