The Weinan Museum is a major livelihood project approved by the Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The project began preparations in early 2009 and was officially completed and opened in February 2016. The museum is adjacent to Sanxian Road in the east and Liuquan Road in the west, and is on the same axis as Weinan Cultural Square and Weinan Administrative Center. The museum covers an area of 90 mu, with a total construction area of 35,940 square meters. The main building is divided into 4 floors, including 3 floors above ground and 1 floor underground. The basic exhibition "Appropriate to China - Stories of Weinan" is divided into 8 units: Wuhua Tianbao - Weinan's geographical environment and natural resources; Ancient Roots - Weinan in the prehistoric period; Pre-Qin Memories - Weinan in the Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties; Gyeonggi Important place - Weinan in the Qin and Han Dynasties; Land of Longxing - Weinan in the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties; the location of the country - Weinan in the Sui and Tang Dynasties; custom and elegance - Weinan in the Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties; Beacon Fire and Qindong - modern times of Weinan.
