Wenchang Pavilion is located in the site of Laodongmen in the urban area of Guiyang. It is a three-story pagoda-shaped building. It was built in 1609 and was originally a place to worship the Taoist god Wenchang. Because the corners of the attic buildings in China are all even-numbered and equiangular, Wenchang Pavilion with nine corners is unique, and it is also an ancient building as famous as Jiaxiu Tower. Wenchang Pavilion is located on the generous and tall East Gate Moon City. The building is simple and majestic. There are side halls on both sides of the attic. In the second and third floors of the pavilion, there are 9 pieces of corrugated wood each, and the roof has 9 corners, 54 columns, and 81 beams, all of which are multiples of 9. In ancient times, "9" usually represented high power and high rank. The designer The ingenuity is evident. Although Wenchang Pavilion is no longer a place of Taoism, but has become a teahouse for local people, this classic and special ancient building is still worth visiting for tourists who like history and architecture.
