The West Peak is 2082 meters above sea level, and because the stone leaves cover the peak like lotus petals, it is also called Lotus Peak. It is made of a huge boulder, facing the sky in the northwest, and the cliffs are cut like a knife. The pines and cypresses are green under the steep slope in the southeast, and the clear spring is like a piano. Along the ridge in the south of the peak, there is a passage connecting with the East Peak, more than 300 meters long, with a cliff on one side and a slope on the other, which is also one of the dangerous roads in Huashan. There are many landscapes in Xifeng, such as Cuiyun Palace, Ax Chopping Rocks, Picking Stars, Sheshen Cliff, Giant Spirit Feet, Yanggong Pagoda, etc.
Xifeng is a very beautiful and steep mountain in Huashan, and it is also the place where Chen Xiang split the mountain to rescue the Three Virgins in "Lotus Lantern". Now there is a huge stone on the edge of Cuiyun Palace with a split in the middle, and the cut surface is as straight as an axe, which is called "axe splitting stone". There is also a long ax next to it. Climbing up the ax and splitting the stone, you can see a vague human figure on the ground between the rocks, like a woman lying on her side, which is said to be the trace left by the Three Virgins being pressed here, adding some fantasy to the legend.
Cuiyun Palace is the main building on the West Peak, and it is also the only well-preserved building on the mountain. It is in the form of a two-story courtyard house, and the front hall serves as a hotel. The East Hall is where Han Zipei, the brigade commander of the Sixth Puppet Security Brigade, fled to Huashan before liberation, and took Xifeng as his headquarters. He and his main personnel lived in the East Hall room. Big bed and supplies. There are three statues of the Madonna in the apse.
