The Xixia Museum is located in the southeast corner of the city, adjacent to the Wuwei Confucian Temple. It covers an area of 3,570 square meters and a building area of 2,900 square meters. Among the exhibits, the most precious one is the Xixia Stele. The Xixia Stele, whose original name is "Inscription on the Gantong Pagoda of Rebuilding Huguo Temple in Liangzhou", is a relatively complete stone tablet with many contrasting characters in Xixia and Chinese in the country.

The Xixia stele was inscribed in the fifth year of Emperor Chongzong of Xixia (1094). In the ninth year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1804), Zhang Shu, a famous Chinese scholar, epigrapher, and Yiren, discovered it in Dayun Temple in Wuwei. In 1898, the French scholar de Velia determined that the front of the stele was written in Xixia script. In modern times, my country's famous philologists Luo Fucheng, a scholar of gold and stone, deciphered the inscription.

The Xixia Stele is 2.6 meters high, 1 meter wide and 0.3 meters thick, with inscriptions on both sides. The front is inscribed with Xixia script, which means "the inscription of the Gantong Pagoda". The main text is 28 lines of regular script in Xixia, with 65 characters per line. There are 26 lines of Chinese regular script, 70 characters per line. The inscription roughly tells the history of the initial construction, apparition and reconstruction of the Huguo Temple Pagoda. It preserves many historical materials and is of great value to the study of Xixia language and writing and economic society. It is recognized by Chinese and foreign scholars. Known as a living dictionary for studying Xixia. In addition to characters, there are many patterns, flowers, figures, etc. The carving skills are superb and beautiful, with a high level of craftsmanship.
