Xishuangbanna Wild Elephant Valley is located in the Mengyangzi Reserve of Xishuangbanna National Nature Reserve and the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve, 22 kilometers away from Jinghong City. Wild Elephant Valley allows tourists to safely observe Asia without interfering with the life of Asian elephants through high-altitude observation plank roads, rainforest sightseeing cableways, Asian elephant museums, Asian elephant breeding bases, and Asian elephant performance schools. Wild elephants and their living environment have become a place in China where they can communicate with Asian wild elephants at close range, and are known as "the bridge between human beings and Asian wild elephants". Wild Elephant Valley is rich in natural resources, bringing together tropical rainforest, south subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, and many rare animal and plant populations.
