Wolongtan, formerly known as Wenglongtan, is the exit of Wolong River, a karst underground river, and is also a classic landscape in Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. From the surface, it is only the source of the Wolong River. Later, it was introduced into the Xiangshui River due to damming to generate electricity, and became the total water source of the two rivers.

The dark river gushes out from the bottom of the cliff. Because there is a dam with an arc bowing inward to stop the water, the surface of the pool is as calm as a mirror. It makes people feel the stirring of the Wolong River at the bottom of the pool. There are strange rocks and strange trees beside the pool, the sound of water roaring outside the pool, and the surrounding mountains are tightly locked. The water pool is like an underground abyss, the water surface is blue and clear, and the peaks, green trees, and bamboo forests on the shore are reflected in the pool, and the colors are colorful. Being in it is like swimming in a painting.

The continuous green water of Wolongtan rolls down from the dam, forming a large-scale characteristic waterfall. The waterfall is like silk, and the crescent moon is shaped like a fairy comb. Standing on the bank side of the dam, you can have a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Wolongtan, and the misty mist makes you feel like you are in a fairyland, which is shocking.
