Wuqia Colorful Mountain is located in Tuoyun Township, Wuqia County, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. There are two colorful mountains here, one is also known as the ancient sea shipwreck, and the other is Mikhail Mountain. The monk's hat mountain is where the Tang monk's hat was scraped off here and turned into a colorful mountain because of the high altitude, strong wind and sand, and volatile climate in the Pamir Plateau, which is the southern route of the Silk Road. According to expert research: this mountain was formed in the Tertiary system, and it belongs to the Yardang landform formed by the superimposition of red sandstone and gypsum layers.
