Wusha Guizhoulong Scenic Area is included in Xingyi National Geological Park. There are many Guizhoulong fossils unearthed here, especially in Chajiang, Nimaigu, Xiemi, Jiake, Gebei, Geli and other villages. , a fossil of Triassic marine reptiles. In addition to the fossils of Guizhousaurus, a large number of fossils of marine reptiles such as Pterosaurs, Pterodontosaurs, Sea Dragons, and Magic Dragons were also found.
240 million years ago, Wusha was an ocean, where various fish lived, such as oriental scale fish and Guizhou eugnathus, and more dinosaurs lived in shallow seas. Because of the subsequent crustal movement, these dragons and fish became fossils. Guizhousaurus individuals are generally about 20 centimeters in length, with a triangular head, large and round eye sockets, pointed and round teeth, a slender neck, and primitive four-legged feet that have not yet evolved into the flippers that later dinosaurs had.
As the hometown of Guizhousaurus, Wusha Guizhousaurus is well-known both at home and abroad. According to the survey by the School of Earth and Space Sciences of Peking University, Wusha Guizhousaurus fossils are not only widely circulated in China, but many overseas Guizhousaurus fossils also come from Usha. In addition to strengthening the protection of Guizhou dragon fossils in this area, tourism development will also be strengthened, and a field fossil display site of the National Geopark will be built. Around the soon-to-be-constructed Guizhou Dragon Museum, Wusha will be created in the Guizhou dragon fossil area——Wusha San Supernian Marine Reptile Park.
