Wutunxia Temple is also known as "Senge Yangxia Temple". It is called "Gedan Pengcuo Qulin" in Tibetan, which means "good and perfect Dharma continent". Wutunxia Temple has a Dajing Hall, a Maitreya Hall, a Dharma Protector Hall, and a teahouse. The building covers an area of about 80 mu.
The important cultural relics in the temple include provincial cultural relics such as sandalwood carvings of Maitreya Buddha in the Qing Dynasty, and there are five relics of Sakyamuni Buddha invited from India, which are enshrined in the statue of Sakyamuni Buddha as the treasure of the town temple. In addition, there are more than 1,000 grains of monk relics, which show different phenomena such as fragrance overflowing during cremation. There are many Buddhist scriptures such as "Kanjur" and "Danjur" in the temple, with a total of more than 7,000 volumes. There are eight white pagodas outside the gate of the temple, named "Eight Pagodas of Liberation", all of which were donated by villagers in Wutun.
There are many decorative patterns with Tibetan national characteristics in Wutunxia Temple, mainly some wooden walls and partitions, as well as indoor furnishings and daily utensils. This kind of pattern art has largely escaped the scope of Buddhist art. The signs of development towards the secular world are very obvious.
