Xi'an Bell Tower is a large-scale and well-preserved bell tower in China. It was built in the 17th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (AD 1384). The Bell Tower is located in the center of Xi'an and is one of the landmarks of the ancient city. The south, west and north streets are respectively connected with the east, south, west and north gates of Xi'an City Wall.

The Drum Tower in Xi'an was originally located on Guangji Street in the west. As the city center moved eastward, in the tenth year of Ming Shenzong Wanli (1582), the Bell Tower was moved to the east of the Drum Tower, where it is today.

The Bell Tower is in a typical architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. The lower part is a square base of masonry structure, and the top is a three-fold four-sided pointed roof structure, covered with dark green glazed tiles, and the steeple is covered with real gold and platinum. There are door openings about 6 meters high in the middle of the four sides of the base. The door openings are interconnected. In the past, they were the passages where the east, south, west and north streets intersected. People and vehicles passed through the door openings. There is a passage for people to pass through.

The entrance to the bell tower is in this underground passage, and there are stairs to climb the tower in circles. There is an imitation "Jingyun Bell" in the bell tower. The original piece was cast in the second year of Jingyun (AD 711) of Emperor Ruizong of Tang Dynasty, and it is now collected in the Xi'an Forest of Steles Museum.

Standing on the bell tower, you can see the east, south, west, and north streets extending from the bell tower. The bell tower is surrounded by the bustling business district of Xi'an and the Drum Tower not far away.

When visiting the Bell Tower, tourists can also enjoy wonderful antiquity performances. There are 6 performances every day during the day, and the specific performance time can be found on the official website. Between the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower is the Bell and Drum Tower Square with a musical fountain.
