The Lower Tantric Academy is one of the higher institutions of the Gelug Sect (Yellow Sect) Tantric Academy of Tibetan Buddhism. It is a place for monks to study. It was founded in 1433 AD.
The area of Xiamiyuan is not large, and its main buildings include scripture hall, Buddhist hall, scripture debating field and scripture printing room, etc. If you come here, just as the monks finish their classes, you can see many monks chanting in the scripture hall, and the atmosphere is very sacred. Not far from the college is Muru Temple.
