Located on the edge of the Badain Jaran Desert, 30 kilometers north of Linze County, it was built in the first century BC and is one of the oldest temples in Hexi. Xianggu Temple is surrounded by sandy mountains, hugged by Zhuangtian, verdant trees, and the natural landscape is unique. There are Daxiong Hall, Dizang Hall, Xiangu Hall and other halls in the temple. There are more than 100 Buddha statues in the hall.
The 36-meter-high Kumarajiva Stupa has a construction area of more than 8,000 square meters, enshrines a 2-meter-high white marble Buddha statue, and houses 168 volumes of the Qing Qianlong Tripitaka. The big-bellied Maitreya Buddha at the gate of the mountain always smiles, welcomes guests with open arms, kind-hearted, and magnanimous.
