Xiangxi Cave Scenic Area is adjacent to Bashan Mountain in the south and Hanshui River in the north. It is divided into five scenic spots: Xiangxi Cave, Tiantianmen, Wenwu Mountain, Centipede Mountain and Niutiring.
The scenic area is surrounded by mountains and peaks. There are winding streams under the mountain, and wild flowers and herbs in the valley are colorful. Among them, there is a flower named "Xiang Tuan Ci", which is yellow and white in color. In March of Yangchun, the fragrance of flowers is spread far and wide, and the fragrance is all over the valley, so it is named "Xiangxi". Going up the stream, the valley is narrow and the mountains are steep, and the road is surrounded by hanging rocks. According to legend, Lu Dongbin once practiced Taoism and became an immortal here. Later generations built bridges and buildings here, and drilled rocks to open holes, which was named "Xiangxi Cave".
Xiangxi Cave is a Taoist grotto. According to the existing inscriptions and local chronicles, it has been established for more than 500 years. After various generations of repairs and additions, there are towers, halls, bridges and caves. When you visit Xiangxi Cave, you can go up the winding path from the cave at the bottom of the mountain, and you can have a panoramic view of the city of Ankang at the place where you stop at the "Tianmen". There is a hut with green tiles on the stone wall built on the three-day gate, and the four characters "Go to the sky five feet" are carved on the stone banner on the gate. Then there is Chunyang Cave, in which there are statues of Baizu, and there are stone carvings on the walls, such as "It takes half a day to travel to and from Daqian, and there is Chaifei on the south bank of Jinzhou", "The immortal has gone by subduing the dragon, but the Taoist priest still doubts that he will come by turning into a crane" and other poems . In addition, there are Yaowang Cave, Longwang Cave, Longquan, Baxian Cave, Chess Pavilion, Jiayun Bridge, Tongtian Ladder, Yuhuang Pavilion and other places of interest.
Xiangxi Cave, Yaowang Cave, Sanmao Cave, Longwang Cave, Wenchang Cave, Baxian Cave, Cihang Cave, and Zushi Cave are collectively known as "Xiangxi Eight Caves".
