It is located at the intersection of the Jingde Ancient Royal Road and the Hutuo River, which has been the main north-south traffic route since ancient times. After the Ming Dynasty established its capital in Beijing, people came and went, and they felt even more inconvenient without a bridge.

The wooden bridge began to be built in the sixth year of Zhengtong in the Ming Dynasty. Due to the turbulent water of the Hutuo River, the wooden bridge was destroyed repeatedly and cost a lot of manpower and property. Wang Fengyuan, the magistrate of Hejian, proposed to build a stone bridge. Li Cuizi, the governor of Xian County, donated funds to raise funds from Liu Yanyong, Shi Shouzhi, Zhang Jiuxu, majoring in the city, and made this move possible. Countless people have donated money to this end, and even the stones are voluntarily transported from the Taihang Mountains thousands of miles away by merchant ship trackers. After 8 years of hard work, it was completed in the 13th year of Chongzhen and became the traffic throat of Jingnan.

So far, there are still 0.2 meters deep ruts on the bridge deck, which shows the prosperity of the stone bridge in those days.
