Ximeiduohetang, which means "auspicious flower beach", is located in the west of Maqu County120Ola Xiuma Township, located 1000 kilometers away, covers an area of about 64 square kilometers.
Every mid-July, a small yellow flower called golden lotus blooms all over the grassy beach. If you look around, there will be a stretch of golden light stretching for dozens of kilometers, dazzling your eyes. In August, the sky-blue Gesang flowers bloom again. In October, there are dots of plain buttercups all over the field, which become more tenacious in the cold climate of the plateau.
The area extending westward from Ola Township to Oula Xiuma Township, the Qinghai provincial boundary in Gansu Province, can be counted as part of the Ximeduo Hetang Prairie. There are more than 20 large and small lakes distributed on the grassy beach of the Yellow River that traverses for more than 50 kilometers. Among them, Quhaer Lake is the holy lake of the Ola tribe, where local people often celebrate festivals and hold religious ceremonies. If you charter a car, you can ask the driver to detour from the lake.
