Ximen Red House - China Travel

Ximen Red House is named for its eight-sided building, also known as "Octagonal Hall". It is located on Chengdu Road in Wanhua District, Taipei, next to Ximending Pedestrian Street. At the beginning of its establishment, it was used as a market. As time went by, it was transformed into theaters and cinemas, and now it has been transformed into a gathering place for culture and art, becoming a famous cultural settlement in Taipei.

On the second floor of the Red House, cultural activities such as cross talk, opera, stage play, dance, and concerts are regularly staged, also known as the "Red House Theater". You can also visit the themed exhibition on the first floor, which records the history of the Red Building. The cultural shop in the building sells some special and exquisite souvenirs, which can be considered as souvenirs for friends!

Next to the Red House is the lively Ximending. There are many delicious and interesting places here. If you have enough time, you can also go to the nearby Taipei Main Station or the History Museum.
