Ximen Street Ancient Building Complex is located in Jianchuan County, Yunnan Province. The ancient city of Jianchuan has a long history, and five baht coins of the Western Han Dynasty were once unearthed. The ancient city was built in the 23rd year of Ming Hongwu (1390) and has a history of more than 600 years. Up to now, the layout of the Ming Dynasty has been completely preserved, and the moat bridges of the west gate, north gate and south gate still exist. After vicissitudes, the ancient appearance remains the same. The Ming and Qing ancient buildings in Jingfeng Park, the unique ancient streets and alleys, many ancient houses of the Ming Dynasty and folk houses of the Qing Dynasty are also completely preserved.

The ancient alleys of Ximen Street are secluded, and there are many ancient houses, such as He Zhai in Qiqu Lane Sihe Patio, Zhang Zhai, an ancient Ming Dynasty building in Wumafang, Guanglu House, the former residence of Zhao Bofan, and the Ming Jianwu General’s Mansion under the original Guqiao Building Lu Zhai and others. The residents of the ancient city are still living in a lively cultural ecology, the ancient style is still there, and the ancient customs still exist. The ancient city presents a rich multi-cultural form, but it always retains the rich native Bai culture and the unique Azali Buddhist Tantric culture. The residents are mainly Bai people, and the Bai language is the main language of communication. The folk customs of the Bai people are well preserved.
