The west platform of Mount Wutai is called Guayue Peak, which is located 13 kilometers west of Taihuai Town, with an altitude of 2773 meters. The top of the platform is as flat as a palm, covering an area of more than 300 mu.
Whenever the moon shines brightly, the mountain springs around the Guayue Peak are gurgling, which is quite poetic and picturesque. When the moon falls on the peak, it is just like a hanging mirror. Watching the moon on the top of the West Terrace is unique. There is a stone Falei Temple on the top of the platform, which is dedicated to the lion Manjusri. There is a natural pool in the north of the temple with a diameter of about 10 meters. There is a spring in the north of the pool, about 1.5 meters in length and width.
