Zhengyi Gate is the west gate of Xizhou Ancient Town, and entering from here is the old street of the ancient town. A few hundred meters away from the west gate, there is a 500-year-old banyan tree, which is so strong that it takes several adults to hug it. It is the symbol of Xizhou Ancient Town.

Not far from the ancient town, there is a Ziyun Mountain Temple. The existing building was built in the Qing Dynasty and looks quite dilapidated. There are often some local elderly people doing activities here and basking in the sun. Further inside is Sifang Street, which is a small square surrounded by many shops and is also the center of the whole town. Touring Xizhou usually starts from Sifang Street. Bai people's houses are a major feature of Xizhou. The houses here have gone through various periods, and people often visit Yan and Yang. The Yan family residence is located in the southwest corner of Sifang Street. The building is a typical Bai nationality courtyard pattern of "three squares and one screen wall" and "four-in-five patios". The Yan family was the head of the "Four Great Families" in Xizhou in the old days, and you can feel the grandeur of the rich and powerful Yan family here. You can also enjoy Bai nationality singing and dancing performances in the folk houses, and drink the characteristic "three courses of tea". If you are interested in architecture and ethnic culture, you can buy tickets to go there. Yang Pinxiang's residence is located in the east of Xizhou. The layout is similar to that of the Yan family's residence. It is especially worth mentioning that the wood carvings of the Yang family are very exquisite, and the gate tower is particularly gorgeous and elegant. Tour Haitong Peninsula

In addition, it is worth mentioning the Haitong Peninsula to the east of Xizhou Ancient Town. Walk 3-4 kilometers eastward toward Erhai Lake, come to Haixin Pavilion, and then walk several hundred meters to Jingui Temple, you can see an oasis about 100 meters wide and about one kilometer long, like a branch The hosta is inserted into the rippling Erhai Lake, which is called the sea tongue by the locals. There are few tourists here, and the scenery is very beautiful.
