Yanjing Catholic Church is the only Catholic church in Tibet. It is located in Shangyanjing Village, Naxi Township, Mangkang County, next to National Highway 214, covering an area of more than 6,008 square meters. It is a model of Chinese and Western cultural exchanges and integration. It was built in 1858 by Father Deng Deliang, a missionary in Paris, France, with a Tibetan-style civil structure. Yanjing is a place where the Naxi people gather in Tibet. An interesting local cultural phenomenon is that the foreign Naxi people all believe in Tibetan Buddhism, while the native Tibetans are devout Catholics.
The salt well is also a well-known place rich in well salt, with a production history of thousands of years. Thousands of salt pans stretch from the riverside to the mountains along the nearly 300-meter-long strip along the banks of the Lancang River. Dozens of salt wells by the river are steaming, and the surrounding area is filled with fog. Walking to the mouth of the wells, you can see the warm salt water bubbling upwards from the wells about five or six meters deep, making noises. The light green salt ponds, the snow-white salt fields, and the blue Lancang River and the flowers and trees all over the mountains and plains are beautiful.
