Yaoshang Gelao Cultural Village is located at the foot of the beautiful Foding Mountain. Gelao people mainly live in the village, so the Gelao people have a strong customs. The village is surrounded by lush virgin forests, with beautiful mountains and rivers, quiet and pleasant. The typical two-storey wooden buildings on stilts of the Gelao people in the village have high thresholds, lattice windows, carved beams and painted buildings, which are very exquisite. Gelao people have lived here for generations, inheriting the ancient Gelao culture. The sculpture in the cultural square at the head of the village - the gourd eagle with ganoderma in its mouth is regarded as a god, symbolizing the harmonious coexistence between villagers and nature.
There are beautiful mountains and clear waters and an elegant environment. The Baoxi River in the village flows slowly and is crystal clear. You can often see water birds playing here. Buildings on stilts stand under the green hills, forming a perfect picture scroll. There are Roadblock Songs, Liuhe Triangle Banquet, Bird Respect Festival, etc. You can sing folk songs, watch puppet shows, and dance hairy dragons with the villagers.

1. Every year on the first day of February is the Bird Respecting Festival for the Gelao people. On this day, the villagers will gather together to celebrate with singing, dancing and competitions, which is very lively.
