Yaozhou Kiln Museum is located in Huangbao Town, Wangyi District, Tongchuan City, which is the site of Yaozhou Kiln Site, a national key cultural relic protection unit. Yaozhou Kiln Museum is 80 kilometers away from Xi'an in the south and 75 kilometers away from the Yellow Emperor's Mausoleum in the north. It has more than 500,000 pieces (pieces) of cultural relics in its collection. It is now a national 3A-level tourist area.
Yaozhou kiln is one of the six famous kilns in ancient China. It is as famous as Ding, Ru, Guan, Ge and Jun kilns. It is the main production area of northern celadon. Its products were listed as tributes in the Song Dynasty. Yaozhou Kiln was created in Tang Dynasty, developed in Five Dynasties, flourished in Northern Song Dynasty, continued in Jin Dynasty, and finally in the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty. The history of continuous firing ceramics lasted for more than 800 years. "Crown" is unique in the treasure house of ancient Chinese ceramic culture and art. The current Yaozhou kiln ancient site "Shili Kiln Farm" has left extremely rich and precious porcelain workshops, kiln ruins and Yao porcelain cultural relics.
Yaozhou Kiln Museum Site Relics Exhibition is composed of three protection halls: "Tang Dynasty Sancai Workshop and Kiln", "Song Dynasty Porcelain Workshop and Kiln" and "Jin Dynasty Porcelain Workshop Group", which intuitively and vividly shows the production scale of the kiln and process flow. The basic display of the main hall is divided into three parts and seven exhibition rooms. "Yaozhou Kiln History Exhibition" exhibits more than a thousand pieces of cultural relics, reflecting the glorious firing history of the kiln; "Demonstration Participation Room" allows audiences to participate in ceramic production; "Reference Research Room" exhibits more than a thousand pieces of various specimens for Internships of professionals and college teachers and students and comparative studies of relevant experts and scholars. In addition, the pottery art center also demonstrates the whole process of ceramic production process. Visitors can play with clay pottery here. The scenic spot provides firing services on behalf of them, and they can burn their own works as souvenirs.
