The Big Ladder Cliff of the Yellow River is located in Hejin City, Shanxi Province, between Longmen and Shimen of the Yellow River. Looking at Shimen in the north, looking at Longmen in the south, facing the Yellow River in the west, and living in Luliang in the east, the mountains and rivers are magnificent and the scenery is unique. The core landscape of Ladder Cliff - Ladder Cliff, according to relevant records, has a long history and can be traced back to the Northern Wei Dynasty. Although the chisel marks on the wall have been through wind and rain, they are clearly identifiable. It is a zigzag-shaped ancient plank road artificially excavated on the edge of the cliff according to the terrain. It consists of 365 steps. The width of the steps is four or five feet, and each step is seven or eight inches high. A bird's-eye view of the overall shape of Ladder Cliff is like carving out 365 steps on a vertical stone. The terrain is steep, the scenery is unique, and the ingenuity is amazing. The red past on Ladder Cliff: On December 23, 1938, the Japanese army entrenched in Hejin, with the Seventh and Eighth Regiments attached to the Tengtian Battalion as the backbone, plus the puppet army, a total of four to five thousand people, more than 20 cannons, The air force cooperated to attack the front positions of East Longmen Mountain and Yumenkou of the New Eighth Division. The officers and soldiers of the New Eighth Division fought bravely and repelled the Japanese attacks many times. The Japanese suffered heavy casualties. A reinforced platoon in Yunzhong Temple died heroically. Many frontier positions were lost for a time. On the 30th, Zhu Zhenmin, the deputy commander of the New Eighth Division, ordered the 23rd Regiment to cross the mountains and ridges, and was reinforced by Shijiatandu River. This battle dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese invaders, killing and injuring more than 200 Japanese soldiers, forcing them to retreat to Hejin and Caoshan. The New Eighth Division killed 271 officers and soldiers from Guizhou under the company commander. They were buried together at the foot of Longmen Mountain at the junction of Shaanxi and Jin (this place is in Hejin County, Shanxi Province). In 1987, the Hejin County Political Consultative Conference built a monument in front of the tomb. The beautiful legend on the Ladder Cliff: It is said that when Dayu came here to control the flood, he was blocked by a dragon and could not continue the construction, so he built a stone ladder that reached the sky on the Big Ladder Cliff of the Yellow River. Still unable to go to the heavenly court, then Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva saw it and couldn't bear the suffering of the people, so he enlightened Dayu to enter the heavenly court, and then saw the Jade Emperor. Dayu led the people to fight day and night, and soon dug open the dragon gate, allowing the long flood to flow into the sea. Now there is a bare footprint left on the rock wall next to the Guanyin Buddhist niche on the ladder cliff. It is said that this was left by Dayu when he entered the heaven. Peach Blossom Valley Peach Blossom Valley, as the name suggests, is famous for the peach blossoms all over the mountains and plains competing for beauty in early spring. The valley is quiet and elegant, with lush vegetation, gurgling streams, floating waterfalls, and various rocks and landforms. The scenery of the four seasons has its own characteristics. In spring, the peach blossoms are all over the mountain. In summer, it is full of greenery, birdsong, and flowers are overflowing. In autumn, the intoxicating red leaves are like ribbons floating on both sides of the valley. Strength, wait for the coming year, if you are lucky and catch a snowfall, it really seems to be able to cleanse the beauty of the soul. Mingxiu·Plank Road (glass plank road) Mingxiu·Plank Road: "Ming" means Minghui, "Xiu" means practice, and "Mingxiu" means Minghui practice. The plank road is composed of 108 pieces of three-layer tempered glass, which is exactly the same as the number of 108 Buddhist beads. We integrate the meaning of the 108 Buddhist beads with it, and hope that everyone can be happy and comfortable in this practice of life~ The glass plank road is about 230 meters long , the vertical height difference is about 150 meters, which is the best way to reach Peach Blossom Valley. On the way, tourists and friends can enjoy the Peach Blossom Valley Waterfall flying down while experiencing the air walk.
