Yili Botanical Garden is located in Almal Township, Xinyuan County, Ili District, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang. The construction land of the botanical garden covers rivers, wetlands, hills, mountains, and woodland resources, and there are habitats suitable for various plants such as shady slopes, sunny slopes, ridges, and valleys of mountains. Within the scope of the botanical garden, breathtaking and moving landscapes such as wild fruit forests, spruce forests, flower meadows, and aerial grasslands have been formed. The botanical garden is based on this landscape and is unique. The botanical garden can be divided into three areas according to altitude and landform: the plain area is flat and the altitude is mostly at945~978mbetween; the hilly terrain is undulating, and the altitude is mostly in1070~1620mBetween; the mountains in the mountain area are towering, and the altitude is mostly in1360~2600mbetween. The botanical garden spans up to1650m, its topography and landforms have significant differences with high-span altitude changes, and their characteristics are distinct.
