The Great Wall of Ming Dynasty in Yulin area starts from Fugu in the east and ends in Dingbian in the west, with a grand scale. Although it has been repeatedly destroyed, it can still see its majesty at that time, especially the section from Yulin to Shenmu is relatively well preserved.

The Great Wall of Ming Dynasty traverses Yulin City. It took 3 months to build it for Yu Zijun, the governor of Yansui Town in Chenghua in Ming Dynasty, led 40,000 soldiers. The Ming Great Wall started from Qingshuiying (northeast of Fugu County, Shaanxi Province) in the east and ended at Huamachi (northeast of Yanchi County, Ningxia Province) in the west, with a total length of 880 kilometers. Its city wall in Yulin enters from the side wall of Gaojiabao in Shenmu County in the east, passes through Jian'an Fort, Shuangshan Fort, Changle Fort, and Baoning Fort, and exits from Boluo Fort in Hengshan County in the west. It winds for more than 100 kilometers. There are more than 210 beacon towers.

This section of the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty was rebuilt during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty because it was close to Yulin City. There is a brick female wall on the inner side of the top of the wall and crenels on the outer side. The upper part of each crenel has a drop-down opening, the lower part has a shooting hole, and the wall is also equipped with a drainage ditch and a water spout. On the ancient Great Wall in Yulin City, a small military city was built every 5 kilometers, and there were also platforms protruding from the city wall on the small military city, which were used for patrolling, sentry and observation.
